Summer Youth Programs here at Sonora Sports & Fitness are ramping up, and we are so excited to offer a variety of specialty sports camps! If you are looking for a place to keep your kids active, we've got what you are looking for! Check out the offerings below, from sport specific to overall fitness!!!
*All of our camps are formulated with the goal to help with the development of our youth by defining character, discipline and team goals. We believe in planning our camps with drills and games, to achieve an overall base for fundamentals as well as FUN!

SPECIALTY SPORT CAMPS OFFERED HERE AT SONORA SPORTS & FITNESS CENTER INCLUDE:
Basketball Camp
Two sessions this year, sign up for one or both!!! Kids will improve their basketball skills in this fun week-long clinic for basketball lovers. Offensive skills, defensive skills, dribbling, passing, shooting, free-throws, blocking out, defensive stance, and rebounding are just a few of the proficiencies that will be focused on.

Cost: $45 Members, $60 Non-members
Ages: Boys & Girls 7-14

Fitness Boxing Camp
This camp will include fun filled kicking and punching workouts that will build strength and endurance. By keeping the kids active throughout the class, this is a great option for kids who are looking to keep in good condition over the summer! Non-contact only. Punching bags, agility and strength training, they’ll leave feeling great!

CrossFit Kids
CrossFit Kids is a strength and conditioning program geared towards the neurological, cognitive, and motor skills of the child population. We want children to grow up healthy and strong, and have a life long love of working out, thus avoiding the common problems associated with childhood inactivity and obesity. CrossFit Kids is a broad and general fitness program. It is not sports specific.....yet it will help improve all around conditioning if your child happens to be involved with sports. Most importantly, it is FUN!!

Football Camp
Be ahead of the rest when football season comes! This camp will focus on conditioning using weight-training, football drills, and two-hand touch games. Develop speed, power, strength, & agility through fun and competitive play. All games are non-contact and each training routine will be adjusted to individual fitness levels and abilities.

Club SSV Volleyball Camp
Club SSV’s head coach creates a positive environment for girls of all ages and skill levels to improve their volleyball game. The class will focus on improving technique for serving, hitting, passing, blocking and overall team play. This is a great way to prepare for your upcoming school season or for Club Volleyball tryouts in the fall.

Swimming Summer Offerings
Guppies
The Summer Guppies group is a great 2-week introduction to swimming for boys and girls. The group will focus on teaching kids to swim all four strokes safely and correctly. Youth must be able to swim 15 yards non-stop, in deep water, to participate. The class size is limited to 6 or 7 swimmer per instructor.

Tadpoles
The Summer Tadpoles is a “learn to swim” group. The class will take place in a shallow pool and it is great for new swimmers looking to become Guppies. Youth need to be comfortable in the water. The class size is limited to 4 or 5 swimmers per instructor.
